A new place for breakfast in Buda is on its way. Cafe Brunch Budapest – Széll Kálmán tér will welcome guests at Margit körút 105, directly opposite one of Buda’s best-connected public transport hubs. Whether you live or work in the neighbourhood, are meeting friends before exploring the city, or are looking for brunch near Széll Kálmán tér, our new location will put the Cafe Brunch experience within easy reach.

Cafe Brunch Budapest has been serving breakfast and brunch since 2017, combining Hungarian breakfast favourites with internationally inspired dishes. The new restaurant is planned to offer the familiar Cafe Brunch concept: breakfast and brunch throughout the day, carefully prepared coffee, and fresh breads and pastries from our own artisan bakery.

With approximately 80 seats indoors and a further 20 on the outdoor terrace, Cafe Brunch Széll Kálmán tér is being designed for quick morning coffee, relaxed breakfast meetings and longer weekend brunches. Terrace use will depend on weather and season. As the second Cafe Brunch restaurant on the Buda side, following Cafe Brunch Lánchíd, it will bring our concept to a busy and convenient neighbourhood hub.

The restaurant is located opposite the Széll Kálmán tér M2 metro station, with nearby connections to trams 4, 6, 17, 56, 59 and 61 and numerous bus services. Opening is planned for mid-December 2026; we will announce the confirmed date and booking details here as soon as they are final.

Széll Kálmán tér is one of Budapest’s most important transport hubs and a vibrant meeting point in the heart of Buda. Formerly known as Moszkva tér, the square has long been a central part of everyday life in the city. Following its extensive renovation in 2016, it combines modern architecture with excellent public transport connections, including the M2 metro line, numerous trams and bus routes. Its distinctive metro station, with its striking zigzag roof, has become a recognizable landmark of the neighbourhood.
